Functional fitness franchise F45 has entered a new chapter that embraces health and wellness
Functional fitness leader F45 Training and nutrition retailer GNC have partnered to put GNC’s wellness and nutrition products in F45 studios across the U.S. and give members access to specialized nutrition guidance.
The move comes as the boutique fitness brand has began investing in wellness and recovery, adding cold plunges, infrared saunas and Hyperice compression/percussive therapy at participating studios.
With its new GNC collaboration, F45 members can enroll in GNC’s Silver tier rewards program and receive free shipping and access to exclusive offers. GNC and F45 will also host health-focused events and promotions throughout the year.
“At F45 Training, we know that the work and effort our members do inside the studio is only a small part of what goes into living a healthy lifestyle,” F45 CEO Tom Dowd said. “It’s the choices they make when it comes to nutrition and diet that contribute to a successful wellness journey and achieving their goals. With this new partnership with GNC, our members will have access to the nutritional tools that they need to round out their wellness routines, fuel the functional workouts that F45 offers, and recover faster to achieve the results they desire.”
Michael Costello, GNC CEO, noted that partnering with F45 is the ideal way to connect GNC customers with fitness exerpiecces that supports their health and wellness goals.
“At GNC we are all about empowering our communities to take their health to the next level,” Costello said. “By integrating F45 Training’s results-driven workouts with GNC’s trusted nutritional expertise, our customers can do just that and ‘Live Well’ every day.”
In other F45 news, Dowd, who became CEO last year, has revealed the company is mulling over a new name – one that reflects its wellness direction.
“The vision that I came in with was to be a solution headquarters for everything health and wellness,” Dowd explained.
While wellness and recovery will become a larger focus, F45 surely isn’t abandoning its fitness roots. The brand just announced a partnership with Rep Fitness to bring functional racks and cable systems to participating locations.
